Our school programmes and activities are an excellent way for children to learn the basics of wakeboarding or water skiing, or just to get out on the water with one of the rides behind the boat. They make a great day out for a school trip or, with the teaching programmes we have in place, a regular sports activity.

Ski School

The Cable Tow offers a really cost effective way to get on the water. Our 2 hour beginner�s ski school has introduced thousands of children to the sport. The group start by watching our instructional DVD and completing the registration. If required the DVD is available online to bring the session in to the classroom and the group can also fill out our registration online which encompasses a short easy test on the main factors in learning the sport, making this a more formal learning process if this is required.

Then wet suit, life jackets and helmets are issued and the group change and it is out on to the water with our special winch system that allows the kids to get the hang of the basics in a controlled environment. Once they have mastered these they will be out on to the main cable to continue their progression.

We teach all our beginners on kneeboards on the winch, and for the first sessions on the Cable. Once they have mastered the techniques they move on to wakeboards or skis. To progress further we have a full Cable coaching programme and our instructors are always available to offer advice.

Ski School costs just £12 per child for Schools and Community Groups and there is one free teacher / group leader place for every 10 kids. The minimum group number is 10 children and we also welcome very large groups.

Ringo & Banana Rides

A great way to round up any visit to JBSki is a ringo or banana ride, or both! The kids just love trying to ride and stay upright on the banana and they soon work out that if they work as a team there is less swimming to be done! With the ringos it is a question of just holding on as the driver spins the ringos over the wakes and they try and stay in control!. All our drivers are especially trained to give a fun but safe ride on the ringos and banana and to take the best care of the children. Ringo rides cost £7.50 per child and Banana rides £5 per child for school and community groups.

Other Activities

If you are looking to make it a fuller event then we have other activities we can add in to your visit. In addition we have a full size beach volleyball court and a basketball hoop for those still with any energy left!

Health & Safety

We have a full schools risk assessment availale and also a behavioural policy for all school groups to ensure a very safe visit to JBSki. JBSki is approved by the governing body of the sport, British Water Ski, and all our instructors are BWS qualified and CRB approved.

We offer a totally unique sports activity that will enhance any activity programme and involve those children to whom the regular school sports curriculum is less appealing.
