Will Asher equals British & European Slalom Record on the Arena

Having already picked up the US Masters and two wins on the US Pro Tour Will Asher continued his outstanding form this season at the British National Championships, held on the Arena at JBSki last weekend, by running the 10.25 metre line length for the first time in his career, becoming one of only four water skiers ever to do so.
Asher then came back on the unbelievably short 9.75 metre line (that’s 1.75 metres less than the distance of the boat’s ski pylon to the buoy) to post the best score of the season anywhere in the World this year managing to get his ski out round buoy one and hooking back up on the boat to complete the full buoy score. Asher’s technique even involves him rolling the handle out to his finger tips as he rounds the buoy to gain every last millimetre, so fine are the tolerances as he rounds the slalom buoys attaining speeds of 60mph.
Asher will now be looking to extend this form to the European Championships in a fortnight’s time when he travels to Sweden with the rest of the UK Sport, Sport England and Fat Face backed British Water Ski Team.
